How taped index cards in a student apartment evolved into custom CNC beechwood and an independent tabletop console.

Classic Jenga is great for 15 minutes, then gathers dust.

We taped index cards with handwritten drinking dares to standard blocks. It was hilarious, but within 2 games the tape peeled. We asked: what if the physical wood could dynamically trigger ANY game mode digitally?

March 2026 · Prototype V1

Drilling 45 blocks and frying two Arduino Nanos.

We drilled cavities into beechwood blocks with a Dremel press and embedded 13.56MHz NFC tags with wood epoxy. The first reader was a messy cardboard box with an Arduino taped to it.

What exactly is Jeemu and how does it work?

Jeemu combines 45 precision-milled beechwood blocks with internal NFC tags and a dedicated smart game pedestal box. You pull a block from the tower, tap it onto the dock, and the dock immediately identifies the block and displays dynamic questions, challenges, or rules on its panoramic smart display based on your chosen game mode.

Do we need our phones out while playing?

No. Once you choose or generate a game configuration in the companion mobile app, you beam it to the Jeemu smart dock via Bluetooth. After that, put all smartphones in another room. The Jeemu hardware runs the entire game independently.

How does the $1 VIP Reservation deposit work?
